The Blair Witch Project (1999) was one of the highest grossing to budget films to date with a production budget of $60,000 which in comparison to other films released during that date like Flight Club which had a budget of $63 million had a overall grossing of $249 million which was great for the director and producers.

this clearly shows that the film had an amazing success beating most higher budget films during its time with it's overall domestic gross and positive reactions. Blair Witch only had 3 major actors in it's film, Heather Donahue, Joshua Leonard and Michael C. Williams, all using their real names during the film. This films was all of their first film they ever acted in which may or may not have showed during the film in the addition of them all being cameramen as all the footage was "found" meaning it was them who filmed the events so all camera and sound work can from these 3 actors. the location was also a great spot for filming as it was not owned by anyone so they had free rein to films in the woods and it was a perfect location for the horror abidance.Blair Witch also took 8 days to shot and 8 mouths to edit.

The film also never had any props used apart from things like camping gear and the stick effigies. As the Blair Witch was never seen in the film there was no need to create any props or outfits that the witch would need as the film used imagery through words from the actor Patrica DeCou (Mary Brown) this actor and a few more were used as minors through the beginning of the film most likely
as volunteers.

For a time the director (Eduardo Sanchez and Daniel Myrick) kept the actors from any press and didn't update certain sites such as IMDb which had claimed the actors were deceased. Even Heathers Donahue's mother being sent sympathy cards.
